“The impacts that COVID-19 has had on our employees cannot be understated. Already traditionally understaffed and overextended, the increased demands on our employees and employee morale are significant.”
-- Comment from a city manager in California on the ICMA listserve on July 23, 2020.

While much of the focus for the CARES funding has been on restoring obvious needs in our communities, the impact on our public employees has gone relatively unnoticed.  The KU Public Management Center believes public services lies at the heart of democracy, and we are offering the KU PMC CARES Package for your workforce.

For $5,000 for up to 20 employees, we will work with your staff to strengthen their teams, help them adapt to new COVID-19 workplace challenges (remote working for example), and boost morale by providing a half-day of fun, engaging, in-service training, even in these times of professional development budget cuts.

  1. We work with you to choose the ASSESSMENT that’s best for your team and the goals you want to accomplish.
  2. You tell us the particular CHALLENGE in your post-COVID-19 workplace you’d like to address.
  3. We work with you to schedule up to 4 hours of virtual IN-SERVICE TIME to address the challenges.

Best of all, this may be an eligible CARES expense.

Contact us today to talk about the CARES package that's right for you.
